The Immersive Learning Studio are excited to announce that we have been selected to produce 2 industry-first Virtual Reality study tours in partnership with The Manufacturing Institute.
The project is part of a wider virtual training programme that is being created by The Manufacturing Institute, as a response to the COVID situation. The current restrictions that are in place mean that traditional face to face learning is being disrupted due to travel restrictions and social distancing measures. The company has researched methods to overcome these challenges and one of the ways of doing this was to create a Virtual tour to replace the current physical study tours.
We have pioneered the use of 360 camera technology in manufacturing organisations for the past 6 years, as a way for users to explore different facilities, as part of a learning and development programme.
We plan to use a series of high-performance, stereoscopic cameras and spatial audio equipment, along with our unique storytelling ability, to bring the physical tour to life through the medium of Virtual Reality.
The two manufacturing facilities that have been selected for this industry-first project are Siemens in Congleton and Westinghouse Electric in Springfields, Preston.
Stay tuned!
